Kompanio 500 (also known as the MediaTek MT8183 or MediaTek Helio P60T) is a PC/tablet processor from MediaTek, announced in November, 2019.
The MediaTek Kompanio 500 (MT8183) brings together a diverse mix of highly capable hardware into a power-efficient chip, enabling quality Chromebook platforms. The chip combines an octa-core CPU with four Arm Cortex-A73 ‘big’ cores and four Cortex-A53 cores all operating up to 2GHz, plus a powerful Arm Mali-G72-class graphics processor operating up to 800MHz. A dual-core AI processing unit (APU) is also integrated into the chip. It provides up to 0.5TOPs performance, enabling accelerated AI-enhancements to applications and AI-camera upgrades with very low power use.
