Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the primary camera on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would have 48MP, up from the non-Pro models’ 12MP setup. Recall that Apple only offered this with the iPhone 14 Pro models last year.
And if this rumor—which has surfaced once more—is accurate, the iPhone 15 will reportedly have a new stacked CMOS image sensor (CIS), which is believed to collect more light and produce brighter, more detailed photographs. This is said to be conceivable as a result of Sony’s efforts to increase CIS production for Apple by between 100 and 150 percent. As a result, there might be less high-end Android phone supply available, which might cause OEMs to hunt for alternative vendors.
A hybrid lens with a single glass element, six plastic elements, and an aperture of f/1.7, which is claimed to catch up to 20% more light, is also most likely to be included in the iPhone 15. Yet, compared to the f/1.5 aperture of the iPhone 14, it might be a downgrade.
