You will be able to use wireless broadband internet easily after Jio AirFiber launches. Soon, you won’t require the Jio wiring team to visit your home to install the fibre connection in order to take use of broadband services. Instead, you will be able to connect to the Jio 5G network, which is built on SA 5G architecture, via a new specialised device called the Jio AirFiber Home Gateway, to achieve even faster internet rates.
Jio AirFiber Home Gateway is a “wireless, simple, single-device solution to have a Wi-Fi hotspot in a home, connected to ultra-high-speed internet utilising Jio True 5G,” according to Reliance Jio’s official press release. It essentially functions as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot that you can use to connect all of your 5G devices, smart home appliances, and other devices to gigabit-speed Internet.
Akash Ambani, the chairman of Jio, described this service during the Reliance AGM while putting up the Jio AirFiber gateway in a video. Simply plug in the AirFiber router, click the top button to configure it to operate with Jio 5G, and you can begin accessing fibre services wirelessly, as seen in the image above. This will open up a number of new use cases, like immersive shopping, low-latency cloud gaming, and multi-angle sports viewing.
Additionally, Reliance is introducing more than just the JioFiber gateway equipment. JioCloud PC, another initiative that the company has unveiled, may eventually make desktop PCs available to students and workers in rural and semi-urban areas, and at a very reasonable cost. If you’d like to
